Sounds like a case of the Mondays.

Rene and I had a really great, packed, weekend. We went to a birthday party in L.A. (Happy Birthday Nicholle!), semi-crashed another birthday with karaoke (Happy Birthday Francis!), I was an editing FIEND on Friday, Saturday saw Sebastian and I fight hard at Improv Shmimprov March Madness (congrats Drew & Sean – gonna’ get ya’ next year!), and then I had the last performance of Lebensraum on Sunday. Really great, successful events. So great I will probably write blogs about them later. Unfortunately today showed up.

I know it’s cliche to complain about Mondays so I’ll carry the idea of cliche to it’s full potential and quote the Boomtown Rats when I say, “I don’t like Mondays. I want to shoo – hoo – hoo – hoot the whole day down.

It wasn’t a terrible day like I got really bad news or someone died or I lost a limb, it was just the vibe of the whole day. If a day can be born bad then today was Rosemary’s Baby. Everything just had a taint to it, even when it tried to be good. Apparently I wasn’t the only one who felt this way. It seems like everyone I talked to today (before I stopped trying and gave up on the day) was also experiencing it. OK I can’t say everyone felt it, there were a flurry of phone calls that came pouring in between 5pm and 6pm and most of them sounded fine although those conversations were brief, but still, the feeling was there.

Thus thusly today ended up being quite uneventful and unproductive. I hate unproductive. I literally cannot afford unproductive right now. Tomorrow is shaping up. I’m visiting with my agents, having a budget meeting with our line producer and production coordinator (although depending on how the money is being spent…), and catching up on what should have happened today.

I’m not going to dwell on that any more.

I watched a whole episode of Castle tonight. I really like that show. It’s no BSG, but that Nathan Fillion is a lot of fun to watch.

OK, I’ve droned long enough.

See you tomorrow!

  1. One British show I’m really into right now is “Black Books.” You have to check it out! I think you’d like it.

  2. hehe, you said “taint” 🙂 Speaking of BBC shows, the original LIFE ON MARS was fantastic. Had one of the best endings ever for a series.
